Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school events may include:
- school orientation days
- sports carnivals
- open day and school tours
- Harmony Week and Book Week events
- excursions and incursions
- performances, concerts or school productions
- fundraising, charity and community events
- award assemblies
- graduation and other celebrations.

Whole School Assembly
Three assemblies are held each term that are hosted by students from each grade. Classes present items and perform songs. Merit awards including the Taverners “Kid of the Week” and “Citizen of the Week” are presented and the children’s birthdays celebrated.
Year Two Graduation
After three years at Taverners Hill we acknowledge our Year Two students and their families with a graduation ceremony which celebrates their time at our school. Year Two Graduation commences with the presentation of Year 2 T-shirts with images drawn by the students and designed by a Year 2 parent.
Kindergarten Transition
Ensuring that our Kindergarten enrolments are familiarised with the school environment, school staff, current students and the children that will be in their class is vitally important. Multiple sessions are offered to our incoming students.
Celebrating Events
We love a dress up or mufti day to celebrate events and have some fun throughout the year such as Harmony Day, Easter, Book Week and Halloween.
