Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
The Parents and Citizens Association is comprised of parents and carers of children enrolled at Taverners Hill Infants School and other school community members. The P&C aims to complement the school’s educational programs, in whatever form that may take.
The P&C runs a uniform shop, clothing pool, organises fundraising and social activities throughout the year and co-ordinates Working Bees. The P&C determines priorities for spending of their funds, in consultation with the school staff. The P&C provides information and support to parents in whatever areas are deemed necessary. Areas in the wider educational arena are also discussed. The school principal attends P&C meetings to update the community on school programs and events.

The AGM is held in February/March to elect office-bearers for the year. The first meeting of the Taverners Hill Infants School P&C AGM will be held early in 2026. Families can join the P&C at this meeting. Further details will be sent in Term 1, 2026.
P&C meetings
The P&C meets approx. twice a term. Meetings are held online and in person on the school site. Notification of meetings sent to families will state the format of the meeting.

Volunteer at our school
Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- getting involved in the P&C
- listening to children read in the classroom
- volunteering on sports days and other school events
- helping supervise excursions.
