Taverners Hill Infants School is a small Kindergarten–Year two school located in the inner west suburb of Petersham, 8km from the Sydney CBD. Our families come from a variety of cultural backgrounds including students of Aboriginal background.
Taverners Hill has an inclusive family orientated atmosphere and a strong sense of community. The school fosters a culture of high expectations and high levels of community engagement. Staff and parents work in partnership to meet the needs of all our students.
Our small infants school creates a safe, dedicated early childhood environment allowing our students to thrive and succeed in small classes, knowing, learning and playing with every student in the school. Every teacher knows every child so transition from grade to grade is made simpler for students and teachers.
Our Year two students are our school leaders taking on responsibilities around the school setting them up for a confident transition for their Year three – Year six schools.
